چکیده

Background: Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) belongs to the family Solanaceae. In Ethiopia, control of early blight is largely dependent on fungicidal application. There a research need identify effective botanical extracts Alternaria solani that cause tomato and for evaluation plant through different solvents target pathogen. Methods: vitro experiment was conducted evaluate effectiveness crude 16 selected medicinal plants against solani. Thus, were extracted from with (methanol, ethanol petroleum at (25%, 50% 100%) concentrations. The isolated infected leaves showing symptoms. Evaluation carried out using food poisoned technique PDA. Result: Results showed most methanolic extract significant inhibition mycelial growth as compared ethanolic ether extracts. A higher rate reduction recorded by Allium sativum all concentrations (100%) followed methanol 25%, 50%, 100% concentration (90.02%, 97.01%, respectively). depends use various solvents. For have shown inhibitory effects in conditions, actual chemical compounds should be identified. Furthermore, it also important these other microbes, study test vivo assess their real potential field condition wherever an disease tomato.
